Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Well, she's definitely not a baby...and the terrible two's are most definitely here. Allison is now two years old and just this week, true to form, her need for independence and her frustrations with not being able have complete independence has caused many tantrums.

Case in point:
We had her birthday at the park this Saturday. It proved to be a gorgeous day and HOT! This makes for one grouchy two year old! At present time, was the WORST part. That's the moment she decided to throw herself all over the floor. I felt like crying because I had envisioned this perfect day where Allie had lots and lots of fun.

She did have fun.
but after a while she just got too hot.

We had a Backyardigans theme. That's Allie's most FAVORITE show.
Sesha (that would be Tosha, her fav)
Ablo (Pablo)
Anka (Uniqua)
Tyrone (the only name she can pronounce correctly)

Autin (Austin)

I bought her a giant Tosha balloon.
LOVED it!
I made her a Backyardigans cake.
Delish!
I put up Backyardigans decor on EVERYTHING.
She was in heaven.
I got a big Uniqua pinata.
Kinda traumatizing when her cousin whacked Uniqua's head off.

All in all, I have decided that birthday parties for babies and toddlers are better suited for the home. I herby swear that until my kids are older (as in not toddlers anymore) I will not be having any birthday parties outside the home.
