To Infinity and BEYOND!

Yesterday, I decided to take just Allie to see Toy Story 3. It was her first movie ever and she did so well! I knew she would though. I made sure to bring plenty of M&M's and juice!
Things I want to remember about this milestone :)

-Allie ROARING as loud as she could whenever Rex roared and the people behind us turned to look at her. At least they told her she was cute and weren't mad :) People can get pretty grumpy about kids and their noises when at the movies.

- I tried to get her to try some popcorn. She ate a few bites, but then she started licking them and putting them back. Yeah, it was lovely discovering that... putting popcorn in my mouth only to find out that some of it was soggy. *gag*

- For the first 3/4ths of the movie, I swear she didn't move a muscle she was so glued. Towards the end she was wiggly (I think because she needed to use the facilities, but she wasn't about to miss anything, she was insistent. ) but still very much into the movie.

-It wasn't until the whole "Mr. Tortilla Man" thing happened and she burst into a fit of giggles. She thought that was so funny!

-Having to sit halfway between Allie's seat and mine because the seat would fold her in.

-Allie saying "Look at all the lights!" (on the stairs, walls, ceilings, etc) while the previews were showing.

-Allie being so surprised that there was a Mr. Potato Head in the movie, she had just rediscovered hers a few days prior and had been asking me all day long to pop the eyes, nose, mouth and other parts out so she could put them back in.

-Realizing that Allie was fully understanding the movie. That part just amazes me. Unless your're a parent yourself, I don't think you can fully understand. She was just a little baby not that long ago....and now she can answer comprehension questions! (a little teacher speak there). She's growing up so fast!

I can't wait for the day when I feel comfortable enough to take Ryan to the movies. I think I want to wait until he is at least 2. How old were your kids the first time you took them?
