Dying Easter Eggs 2012 (playing catch up)

Goodness, I am sooo behind on my posts after getting off to a great start. I blame it on Kindergarten. Ending the year in Kinder is busy stuff, but nowwwww it's over. Whew! And I am back to blogging status. Last night, I spent the evening uploading pictures onto blogger so that when I had the time, all I to do was add writing. I think I have 12 blog posts waiting in the wings, so expect to hear from me lots this summer :) Right now, a little catch up:

The night before Easter (Saturday night), we spent dying out Easter Eggs. I learned from last year that one dozen eggs is NOT enough eggs for 4 people to dye.  So I bought an 18 pack this year. Another lesson learned is that is not enough either.  Everyone wanted to keep going! Now I know for next year, it's forever cemented in this blog post, ha!

Allie and Ry had sooo much fun dying eggs. They thought it was absolute magic when we wrote their names on the eggs in white but that you couldn't see it until they were dyed. They wanted to use every color but they only got 5 eggs each (see? need more eggs!).  Jason and I had to give up  dying eggs so they can have more.  It's the price you pay being a parent, right? ;)

After washing the dye off, we ended the night by placing a carefully chosen (by Allie)  carrot out for the Easter bunny. Then we skipped off to bed in our Christmas jammies (because Easter morning is almost like Christmas morning, right?).

Next post: What we found on Easter morning :) Stay tuned!
