It's a zoo out there!

So this post doesn't have much to do with my family but I did want to share and remember it.  My Kindergarten team and I took our students to the LA Zoo.  Such a great day and I got some fabulous pictures. Allie and Ryan couldn't get enough of them when I got home. Some of these pictures require captions, and some don't.

This is not a crocodile or an alligator. Can you believe that? It has some other name that I've never heard of but it is a cousin of the crocodile. It had the longest snout I had ever seen! Look at all those crazy sharp teeth! Apparently it is a very shy creature and only eats fish. Could have fooled me! ha!

I took this picture (as difficult as it was with that dang fence in the way! The camera just wanted to focus on the fence!) for Ryan. It looks like Kevin from Up.  Don't you think?

Yes, this wart hog did exactly what you think its about to do as soon as I snapped the picture. Yes, siree bob.

Look at the slice on that gorilla's shoulder.  From what the crowd was saying, we had just missed the big fight between 2 gorillas.  This one was sitting licking his wound. Ouch!

This antelope like animal was so funny because it was just standing there.  It appears the hoofs are on the wall behind it but the wall is a good 10 feet away from it.  It was just standing there almost completely motionless. Very Strange.

The silliest animals I've seen yet ;)

I bought these little masks as little souvenirs for Ryan and Allie, but I think it was their Daddy who really got his kicks with those masks.
