My Dear Sweet Allison Rose,
You are such a shining star little one! Every where you go you just light up a room. You may not look that much like your Mama but you are the spitting image of my little girl persona to a T. You will speak to anyone and make them smile. You like to dance and sing all the time. You are great at memorizing and often tell me that you "never forget anything". And you never do. You love to memorize, songs, TV shows, books, things people say... We are always having to watch what we say around you.
You are the smartest little thing I have ever laid my eyes on. You took your pre Kindergarten assessment this year and read 46 out of 50 sight words without even practicing! Get out of here with that kid! My goodness! You also counted to 100 (while dancing around the room, but whatever helps you to concentrate), and wrote your numbers to 16 as well as your name. You knew all your shapes, colors, letters and their sounds. You did so well that the teacher told me I didn't have to work with you on ANYTHING this summer. That you had it all! You are that smart! Some may think that because I am a Kindergarten teacher that you should know all this but frankly, I have not really sat down with you to teach you these things. After teaching all day, its the last thing I want to do when I get home. You actually picked up most of it on your own.
Your temperament is all princess and sass, but I love it. Most of the time you are sweet as pie but sometimes you get a little mischievous when you and your brother are on a rampage. Speaking of your brother, you two are little partners in crime and worst enemies at the same time. You find the same things funny and the same things annoying (when it comes to each other). No one knows how to push Ryan's buttons better than you and vice versa! You are also best buds and play well together. Sometimes you two are so deep in play I can clean the whole house without you ever needing me. Its so nice considering I have not experienced a nap time from you in about 3 years.
You love your alone time and will often retire to your room to read, play quietly with your dolls, or to play with your leap pad. You have a very active imagination that is very sweet to listen too. I love how innocent your scenarios are.
You started dance classes this year. Your class gives you a little taste of everything; ballet, tap, singing and acting. You absolutely love it and especially just eat up the acting. Mr. Ron, your teacher says that you are a natural at acting. He gives you lines to memorize with scenarios. You add your own flair and intonations right where it's needed. He even has you act twice when there are an odd number of kids in the class and you are acting in pairs.
You tell me all the time that my "cheeks are soft". You like to watch TV
or read books while rubbing one of my cheeks. You also love to do my
hair and I LOVE it when you do! It feels so nice! You are such a loving girl. You tell me all day long that you love me. I love you too my sweet girl. I just love you to pieces and I would never change a single hair on your body. You are such a breath of fresh air. I am so excited to see where life takes you in your 5th year and I am so proud in all you have accomplished so far. I love you a million red M&M's Allie boo!
Love,
Mommy
