Let's see...new stuff...well, a big thing happened today: Allie took her 1st steps!! 3 in a row! She's done 1 step but that doesnt really count, but today she did 3 steps once and 2 steps once! I was so excited I cried. Jason kept asking why I was crying and I was trying so hard to hold it back that I couldnt answer him. Finally, I was able to get it out. I am so happy that she is jumping into this big milestone but at the same time I'm sad because I read somewhere that once a baby starts walking, they're no longer a baby but now a toddler. **sniff, sniff*. Look at me, crying again. (Well you cant see me, but just those thoughts bring tears to my eyes). And I know she'll always be my baby girl, but I want her to stay a real baby FOREVER...well, maybe not forever, but she's only 9 months old...
Speaking of 9 months, we took Allie on her 1st day trip to the zoo on her 9 month day (Feb, 18th). That was fun. omg. So crowded. We couldnt see anything. All the animals were retarded and decided to sleep. It was much hotter than it looked for an overcast day. We took lots of fun pictures that I will post and Allie tasted her first ice cream cone. The day before the zoo, we took her to Stride Rite to get her fitted for her 1st pair of real walking shoes. She got to test them out at the zoo the next day. Too cute!
The housewarming...all my aunties keep asking when that is...I still dont know. Im having Allie's baptism on the 19th of April, her 1st birthday almost exactly a month later on the 18th of May. How can I have a housewarming party if everyone has been to my house 2 previous times?? I just dont know. I was going to combine it with Allie's baptism but that seems silly, because that day is supposed to be all about her. Not us. So, I probably wont have one, although I really want to...I suppose I could do March but thats so soon. True, I will be off-track for the whole month but one week we will be in Mammoth on vacay and another week I have to go to math training (bleh!) and I just wanna spend time with Allie any chance I get. Plus that would be 3 months worth of parties!! eek! I'm open to suggestions!
Well, I'll leave you with some pics of the zoo and I'll try to update as often as possible!
It's an illusion!
Messy Face!
I love this Ma!!
