So the day after Allie's birthday she had to go for her 12 month well baby check and everything is perfect! Except for the fact that Allie HATES the doctor. And she knows when she's there too. She gets really nervous and clingy as soon as we walk in the room. We could barely weigh her because she was screaming and reaching for me but she clocks in at 21 lbs 9 oz, her height is exactly 28 inches. She's slowing down in growth the doctor said, because she was always in the 95 - 98% for height and weight now she's comepletly average at 50 % for weight and little less than that for height. He also said he wants her off formula and on cows milk. That's gone suprisingly well. She took to it so easy and didn't even seem to notice the difference. He said bottles should be gone before our new little one gets here. I'm not looking forward to that... Then she got 5, yes 5! shots!!!!! The most ever! Poor baby! If she hated the doctor then, she really hates him now! She did so much screaming and fighting in that doctors office that she conked out for a 3 hour nap when we got home. 3 hours?! That's unheard of around here...but she sure was a happy girl when she woke up so we figured it was a good time to get her one year portraits done. That's the picture you see up above. Adorable, huh? oh, and people ask me where she gets the curls and I assume it's probably me becuase I had curls like that when I was her age. I'll have to find a good baby picture of me and put it next to hers to show you. The curls just sort of grew out of my hair. In my preschool pictures I have curls just at the ends of my hair like my mom curled them everyday but she didn't, those where my left over baby curls. The same happened with both of my sisters so I think it's the same case with Allie. I doubt she'll have curls forever...but they sure are cute now!
As for the transfer I am referring to in my title. I put in to transfer schools and grades with my school district. I really wanted a Highland area school so I could be close to home and close to my babies while they are at my mother in laws. I'd like to go see them at my lunch. Plus I wanted a lower grade, like 1st or kinder... I'm sick of the 6th grade attitude. My husband teaches 1st grade and loves it. So I did all of the interviews and just found out that my transfer came through for next year at my top choice! Oh happy day! I will be teaching 1st grade at Cole Elementary (where I breifly attended in 5th grade) and one of the best parts is my sister in law teaches kinder there too, so we are both together at the same school! Loves it! I'm beyond excited and I am so ready for this year to be over. I have one more month...

Hi exciting about the new job! I hope you love it and how lucky to get your top pick school!! Yay for cow's milk, that should save you a fortune! You'd think that formula was made of gold as much as they charge for it!
Lovin the name of your new school!! ;) Congrats and the transfer!!! I am agreeing with Heidi that you will save money on formula...hoorary for that!! Allie looks adorable in her one year pics! Cole's first bday is in 2 months! You will have to come to his birthday party...it's out in Cali!!
