Surgery!

My poor little Allie boo is having surgery a week from monday. It's only minor surgery, thank goodness, but she has to be put out nonetheless. Since she was about 8 months old she developed this growth on her nose, almost wart like. But it got big really fast so we took her to the doctor who sent us to a ears, nose, throat specialist. By the time we saw him, when she was 10 months old it had started bleeding, scabbing, bleeding, scabbing...like all the time. It look HORRIBLE! He looked at it and couldnt really make a diagnosis because of the scabbing, so he gave us ointment and told us to give it 2 months to clear up the scabbing and so see if it went away. The scabs did, but it didnt -- and it got bigger because she plays with it a lot. So we saw the doctor again this week and he said it's still not certain but he thinks it's a pyogenic granuloma. We wont really know for sure until its sent to the pathologist, and in order to do that it has to be removed. It's not essential though, but since it is unlikely that it will go away on it's own, we decided that she shouldn't have to go through life with an unsightly wart like thing hanging off her nose. So she goes in really early on Monday the 30th and it's a 20 minute procedure and wont even need stitches! but still....she's my baby. It's hard and you mothers out there know what I mean.
Other than having surgery, Allie is doing very well. She's walking every where and talking too! I thought babies didnt talk til they were at least 2 so either I was very wrong or she's a genius! lol... Her favorite word is 'no!' and 'hi!'. She says them both all day long and no is her answer to everything, it even stands for 'yes'. She has even said her first sentence; "What's that?" She asks that constantly, even if you answer her. She's also starting to really like table food, which was a bit of a struggle about a month ago. She loves those Flipsides crackers and even knows where we keep them. When she wants one she goes straight to the cupboard and reaches for the box.
We just got done painting her new room a lovely shade of pink and are using our economic stimulus check to purchase an all new bedroom set for her. That's been hard because every convertable crib that I like ends up being out of stock... everywhere. It's so weird. So any ways, thats frustrating, you dont even know. Then we wanted to paint the new babys room too this month buuuut since we dont know the sex, its a no-go. I suppose I can do a green or yellow but I had my heart set on gender based colors, not nuetral. So Jason and I agreed that we'd wait til my July 9th appointment to find out what we are having and if we still dont we'll prolly go yellow. Then when the baby comes add blues or lavenders in bedding and decor, depending.

I cant believe I'm going to be a mother of 2 soon...yikes!

So sorry to hear she is having surgery! I know it is scary, but they are so resiliant! I'll say a prayer for her!

If she's anywhere near as strong as you and J, she'll be fine! Can't wait to hear what you're having, again! Hopefully this time you'll really find out.
