I was very nervous about the whole costume thing. I knew Ryan would be fine because he doesn't know what is going on. Allie is a whole other story. She was an Allie cat for Halloween, and it had a head piece that I just knew that she would have a fit about.
And she did.
But I'm smarter than her, you see. I put the costume on and took her to do her favorite thing.
Brush her teeth.
As she was doing that I sneaked her kitty hat on and tried my best to draw whiskers on her. She kept shaking her head around to avoid me... but, like, I said, I got 25 years on her 1 year and 5 months, I'm smarter.
She, as in her nature, ripped the kitty hat off as soon as I got it fastened, but I was determined. I put it right back on her head and before she could begin to protest I said lets go get a 'ju-ju' (I wish you could hear her say it. Pretend your french and say it. That's it.). She immediatly forgot about what was on her head FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT.
Yeah Mommies. I rock.
As with Schafer family tradition, we went to Jason's mom's house and ate dinner... took pictures... grandma had little gifts. All that fun stuff.
Then we went home, and I had my mom's traditional hot mulled cider in my crock pot (simmering all day. smelled DEEEEEElicious!)and made a special dessert for my family to partake in a little Trick-or-Treat action. Trick -or-Treating in my neck of the woods is INSANE! They get dropped off by the bus load! While my younger bros and sis's went out into that insaneness, Jason and I stayed with the babies to pass out candy.
Later, the babies were sorta hitting the wall with all this Halloween mumbo jumbo and wanted to go to sleep. Even though, I still had PLENTY of candy (I knew what to expect after last year) we had to shut off the lights to stop them from ringing the bell...the babies couldn't sleep! Whew!
A fun, but tiring day. My pictures aren't that great because, sadly, Allie is no longer in love with the camera :( but do your best to enjoy!

They look so much alike! If you didn't say that was Ryan in the pumpkin costume, I would have thought it was Allie last year!
super cute! I agree with Katie, those kids are practically identical! And adorable, of course!
Goodness they are identical twins!!! Allie's costume is adorable...good job with out smarting her :)
