This Crazy Month...

Well, well, well...
I've been sooooo M.I.A. from the blogging world this month.

To say the least, I've had a crazy month.

To say the best, it's all better now!

Life is settling back into its usual flow and I am liking that so much better! It was supposed to be my last month home before it's back to the salt mines (work). Instead, it was a whirl wind of medical crisis and dental woes.

Ack, I don't even wanna get into it, but to make the whole horrible story short: Basically, I had to call 911 for my sweet husby and he ended up in the hospital for 6 days (scariest week of my life, let me tell ya)getting test after test and no answers. We still have no answers, but he seems to be better and is home AND back to work. I take that as a good sign! Thank the Lord (Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU Lord)he's okay.

As for the dental woes: I had to get a root canal redone. Ew. My tooth hurt so I went to the dentist. It was a Thursday. He gave me antibiotics and told me to come back Tuesday for a retreat and new crown. I took the medicine and felt better quickly. Went back Tuesday for the eventless retreat...until I got home! Oh my lordy, good gracious! I was in sooooo much pain! I don't understand it. I called the dentist and he basically told me it was normal. Thanksgiving came and went and my entire right side of my lower jaw is killing me. Saturday, got up at the booty crack of dawn to shop with my Ma and sisters and it still hurt! Today...still hurts! Though finally it seems to be subsiding. I just can't be having this because I have to go to work on Monday! It's such a mess...

In other news, the holidays have started off well. Thanksgiving was a blast at my sister in laws house. Got lots of adorable pictures. It was also Jason's 30th (30th!!!) birthday and Ryan's 3 month birthday. I got great deals when I went shopping on Black Friday, and quite a few Christmas presents taken care of. Decorated my house for Christmas the whole rest of that day...*sigh* I love doing that.

Today, Ryan and Allie took extra long naps at the same time (and I just did not feel like lesson planning) so I decided to look up tutorials to finally learn how to use my photoshop elements. So fun! As you can tell from my new revamped page, I taught myself how to digital scrapbook!

Speaking of Ryan and Allie...they are doing well. Ryan is 3 months now and seeming to fire past all those milestones just as quickly (and early) as Allie did. Back at 6 weeks, he had rolled over from tummy to back and now he has almost got the hang of going the other way (back to tummy). He coos and smiles and giggles at everyone and everything. He's getting big too. Not chunky like Allie was, but long. Very long. His demeanor is so different from Allie too. He's laid back. Mellow. Chill. And the kid hasn't had a night in 6 weeks where he hasn't slept at least 8 hours straight. I'm so in love.





Allie is doing amazing as well. She's so very smart. She can now identify and say most of the alphabet. And you might think, 'Of course, her parents are teachers.' But guess what?
WE didn't teach her.
Nope.
Some toy did. And then there's the refridgerator letter magnets. Oh, the refridgerator letter magnets...
Imagine our suprise when she walks into the room and hands me the Y magnet and clear as day says, 'Y'. and the scene repeats again and again with almost every letter.
She can also count to 5 with her fingers, retrieve any book in her collection, and brush her own teeth.

What can I say? They have my genes. :)

Intellectually that is.:)
