3!

My brother complains that I don't post enough.  Thank you Dave for being just about the only one who actually reads my blog! I half post this just for you :)

So my littlest guy has turned 3... I'm kind of okay with it because to tell you the truth I'm so OVER the terrible 2's. I mean, who's to say it ends with 2 but at least I can hold out hope? I have a rough little mister, yes I do, but I love him just as much as ever...more even.  I just wish he's slow his roll...just a little.
The way you are now:
You are stubborn as all get out and you have temper on you like no body else I know (except your Daddy!).  You get an absolute kick out of teasing your sister...poor little girl is going to have gray hair before high school with the stress you give her!  On the other hand, you are the sweetest, cuddliest boy this side of the universe. You tell us all the time that you 'like' us.  Like is hand in hand with love in your book and I don't have the heart to argue with you about it. You 'like' me-I'll take it! ha! At night time, that's when I receive the "I wuv you, mama".  You are all boy and there has been no changing that from the start! You LOVE anything wheels and anything that rolls, for sure! You have a massive Thomas collection! Last summer we decked your room out all in Thomas, and even threw you a Thomas birthday party. That was when you received your train table and first train set.  The obsession has lasted all year long. You watch Thomas movies day in and day out. You sleep with your trains, you take them in the car, you CONSTANTLY are asking your daddy to help you build a different configuration of tracks.  For every holiday, you added more to your collection.  So it came as no surprise that for your 3rd birthday it would be Thomas themed all over again! No matter how much I tried to talk you into a pirate theme, or a basketball theme...you just weren't having it one bit! In all honesty, you made mama's pocket book happy, because I had saved all the decor and had a few unopened plates/napkins from last year- I barely had to buy anything! Thanks Ry, always lookin' out for your mama, right? ;)


Some of your favorite things at 3 years old:
Favorite color: Green. You have this green blankie that you are rarely without since birth and I think that is why you have always been partial to the color

Favorite cartoon: Thomas, duh. You like Team Oomi Zoomi too, a little Diego here and there never hurt anybody, but Thomas has your heart, hands down.

Favorite movie: Anything Thomas...I think we own 3 movies...and we are anxiously waiting for the 4th (Day of the Diesels) to come out in September. Those who got Ry a GC for his bday, thank you, you bought him the newest Thomas movie :)

Favorite foods: You are kind of a picky eater, though not as bad as your sister was.  You are a breakfast guy for sure. Sometimes I swear you can live the whole day on breakfast alone! You've been known to take down 10+ pancakes without even blinking an eye. True story.

Favorite toy: You have a collection of dogs you like to sleep with...Buddy, Seymour, Scooby, Rufus, and Rose.  Your collection of Thomas Trains, Rocket from Little Einsteins, your Plasma Car, pirate ships... your Daddy and I couldn't pinpoint just one toy!

Favorite games: You like asking Daddy to play 'couches together' where daddy takes our 2 couches and faces them towards each other like it's a big bed, getting your ball bucket out and throwing them ALL out,  taking out a box of toys and dumping it...then leaving it.  ugh.  Basketball is also a fav. oh and Hide N' Seek.

Favorite thing to do outside: Back in June, we got a puppy and named her Rose. Whenever you are home, and mommy lets you, you can be found right beside her.  You love her so, and she loves you.  I love that my boy has a dog to grow up with. Running in the sprinklers in your undies, so dang cute.  Going places like parks, beaches...doesn't matter. You love being outdoors.

Favorite thing to inside: You are here, there and everywhere. A ball of pent up energy that NEEDS to be outside. But when you are inside, you like to play with your sister, with your daddy or by yourself. You are pretty good at playing trains for quite a while on your own.  You like to make messes with your toys and you DON'T like to clean it up.

Favorite places to go: Disneyland, Jumpzone (when there was one), cousins house and Gobbies house :) oh and the grocery store!

You are the greatest little guy I know and I love you so very much.  I always tell you how special you are to me and I mean it with every inch of my being.  I love love love you a million green M&M's Ryan bear!
