Memorial day at our favorite park: Prospect Park! Every year we have a picnic here on Memorial day.

Allie and Ryan's first trip up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead. There was a car show in the village, but it was so beautiful despite it being so crowded.
We like Parks :) a trip to Ford Park to feed the ducks in Redlands.
My Dad came to my classroom on Donuts with Dad day. My students got such a hoot out of the fact that I brought MY Dad too! :0
Ryan's very first vacation (Allie's was in Mammoth at 10 months old) to Lake Arrowhead Springs Resort. I had a week long conference to attend for work and I was fortunate enough to be allowed to take my family too!

So of course we had a party for them :)
I got this horrible sunburn on the last day of school. It was water day and I played with my little Kindergartners. I let them soak me and I ended up with a really bad sun burn! Yes, it hurt as bad as it looked. :(
As soon as school ended on the last day, we headed straight up the mountain to Big Bear for our very first camping trip
And when we got done with that, we went to the pound and adopted our very first puppy. A 2 month old lab/beagle mix named Rose

The cookie cake that I made Jason. It was totally raw on the inside. I could not believe it when I cut it open. It looked so good on the outside and utterly uncooked inside.
The first visit of the elf brought some fun projects to the Schafer house hold!
