An afternoon at Disneyland

We recently renewed our passes to Disneyland after taking a year and a half off.  We first had to save up the money because this time we knew we had to buy all 4 passes and that we weren't going to get away with saying the kids were under 3 (well, back when we had passes, Ryan really was under 3...Allie turned 4 half way through).  We also got lucky that we bought the passes just in time because the prices went up tremendously just 2 weeks later! Our pass went up $70 each! When you multiply that by 4 it equals waaayyy too much so we will be enjoying this years pass to the fullest.  Renewing unfortunately wont be an option when these expire. :(

On our first trip back to the Mouse House, we went with Jason's side of the family.  We decided to meet them there. It turned out to be a cloudy and chilly morning and we had forgotten the kids jackets. After one ride, Ryan was shaking like a little leaf so we had to break down a buy him a jacket. Luckily, Allie insisted she was not cold and did not want a jacket.  What a doll! She was trying to save us a few bucks :)

Of course, we started to get hungry after the jacket purchase and the kids were eying the lollipops.  We scooped up a bag of gummy bears for us and lollipops for the kids.  We got all the way down Main Street when I realized all but 1 of the lollipops were crushed to pieces. So we had to walk all the way up Main Street AGAIN (3rd time) to exchange them.  Once we got back down Main Street again, the sun came out and it began to get hot. Wouldn't you know it?! Dang!

A few rides later, we finally caught up with Jason's sister and mom. We ate at our favorite place, the Pizza Port! I don't know why I love this cafeteria style, severely over priced food but I do! ha! I usually pack lunches for Disneyland, but our first trip back was a special occasion.

The Pizza Port was the first time I had taken the camera out all day.  I'm so bad at that.  Anyway, after lunch we headed to DCA since we heard the Redwood forest had been turned into Wilderness Explorer land from the Ryan's favorite movie Up. Dug was there! I don't know why, but the kids were a little afraid of him but they didn't run away.  I think they were  in shock.

Playing in the Wilderness Explorer area is the kids most favorite thing to do, but at one point even Allie was tired of it. Ryan was out dragging his Daddy around on the rope bridges above us while the rest of us rested. I even taught Allie how to use my camera and she took quite a few pictures.  I like that idea, letting her do the pictures and seeing things through her eyes.  I will have to do that more often. These are the pictures she took.

Such a fun day! We plan to go at least once a week before we are blocked out for the summer. We have gone once more since the trip, but I didn't take my camera at all. We were having waaayyyy too much fun to stop and take pictures.
