2008 in Review Survey

Instead of making a list of the year in review, I found this survey:

1. What did you do in 2008 that you had never done before?

I went into the hospital for something that wasn't happy, became a Kindergarten teacher, had a son, got a gym membership, learned how to use Photoshop

2. Did you keep your new years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Well, I was well on my way to losing the baby weight from Allie, but 3 months into the new year I found out I was preggo with Ryan. So no, I guess is the answer I'm trying to say.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Yup.... myself, and my sister in law. Our sons are almost 4 months apart in age and we are so excited they will be so close!

4. Did anyone close to you die?

no. Thank the Lord!

5. What countries did you visit?

None! Pssssshhh, like I can!

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

my prepregnancy body back (or close to it).

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

March 5th - Found out I was unexpectedly preggo (and 15 1/2 weeks along!)
May 18th - Allie's 1st birthday!
August 27th - My sweet son was born!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Having 2 children under 2 and being successful at taking care of them.... so far. Taking on Kindergarten.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Losing baby weight, but I have a good excuse so I'm not that torn up about it.

yes. My C section wound abscess and staph infection. Scary stuff. I was so sick.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
our new car just before Ry- Ry was born

12. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

hmmm.... I'd rather not say.

13. Where did most of your money go?

Shelter and food! Our house payment, utilities and groceries suck up most of our money.

14. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Ryan's birth

15. What song will always remind you of 2008?

"Remember When" by Alan Jackson

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer?

a) Happier... I can't imagine life getting any better but I am so thankful for all that I have. I have everything I've ever wanted and I think about that every single day.

b) Just a tad FATTER! Gee, I wonder why...

c) We do make more than last year, but with more money comes more things to buy.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

scrapbooking for Ryan. I'm getting behind.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

I feel like I can waste a lot of time on the computer.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

Christmas Eve (day) was with Jason's fam, Christmas Eve (night) was with my fam, Christmas Day (morning) was breakfast at Jason's sisters (she lives just a few blocks over so we went in our jammies just after opening presents! So fun!), and Christmas Day (night) was a big dinner (that I cooked) at my house with my family AND Jason's. It was all sooooooo busy but I love every minute of that kind of thing.

21. Did you fall in love in 2008?

yes, with my sweet new son. He's an amazing lil guy.

23. What was your favorite TV program?

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.

Be thankful for all your blessings everyday, because you never know how life can change in an instant (like, HELLO your pregnant...and HELLO the first trimester is already gone and you didn't even know you were in it. Shock of a lifetime! Turns out that pregnancy was the biggest blessing in disguise that I have EVER had!)

Okay, YOUR turn! Play along :)
