The greatest potty training secret never kept!

For the past 2 days I have been working on potty training Allie.  It was supposed to be half a day potty training  but ended up to being longer due to me not having the book.  My sister in law had used a method from this book.  It was very successful for both her children- one boy, one girl- and she followed the book very carefully.  I wasn’t able to get the book in time for the day I knew I wanted to start potty training, which was yesterday.  I made the stupid decision of thinking that she had told me enough about the technique for me not to need the book.

WRONG!!

and that’s my fault, not hers.

Anyhow, by some miracle the book was found by Jason’s mom at the same place I had been to TWICE this week to look for it.  Apparently it was behind some other books. lovely.

Anyhoo, she brought it to me and during Allie’s nap I speed read to find out what I was doing wrong'. Quite a few things! Allie was still successful with what part of the program I was doing but having her tell me when she had to go was the hardest part.

All of my questions have now been answered by this little book.  I started following the book to a T right after her nap and it has turned out soooo well.  We had 2 successes and 1 accident during that time.  I was only able to do it for 2 hours before it ran into bedtime, so I will start where I left off tomorrow.  If done correctly the method will work on a 20+ month old in less than 4 hours!! I wasn’t a believer at first but as long as you can spare a full day of your undivided attention and patience then its definitely doable.  I had to make Jason and Ryan leave the house for the day, but it’s working and I am soooooo excited! I highly recommend this book if you are ready to potty training!

In total, today we had 7 successes and 3 oppsies! I think that is an excellent start!  Tomorrow will be so much better.  I am hoping she’s 90% potty trained by tomorrow night!

And P.S. it’s super cheap and sooooo worth it!
