Before,
During
&
After…
Your first haircut! My little shorn sheep! I thought your hair was really cute before we cut it, but it was getting in your eyes so we decided it was time. It took Daddy days and days to convince me to let him cut it himself. Now, I know that your father has been cutting his own hair since, like the age of 12 but I was so afraid he would mess up if you moved and I didn’t feel like I could keep you COMPLETLY still… But I ended up caving and cried my way through it like always said I never would. I always said I would never have an attachment to my son’s hair like some moms do and that I would cut it when it needed to be cut. Which is why I can’t believe I bawled like a baby and saved several locks of your hair in a plastic baggy! And it turned out adorable! I couldn’t BUH-lieve how much older you looked! However, I must say my husband did a great job!
In other news, you are crawling like a maniac, trying to keep up with that big sister of yours! and getting hurt constantly in the process. Golly gee whiz! No one warned me that you could be sitting right next to your baby boy in the same room and they still find 10 ways to hurt themselves. Why didn’t you come with a warning label??? You got yourself your first black eye the other day by pulling a semi heavy toy house on to your head. You keep getting yourself into this position and then falling off face first. So then you cry to me about it and the next second your off doing it again! Silly boy!
You are on your way to walking too! I can hardly believe it! You learned how to cruise along the furniture not too long ago and now you are letting go! You bob there for a few seconds, then fall you your well padded booty. I wish I could pad your head that way too! Oh well, I guess this is probably nothing compared to how it will be when you are older. Lord help this Mama!
Ryan’s 9 month old stats:
17 lbs 6 oz –10 percentile (you truly are my little man! Nothing like your sister who was 20 lbs at this stage…she also didn’t crawl)
28 inches – 50 percentile (taller than your sister in this respect though!)
2 teeth – bottom middle
Eating everything under the sun – mostly fruits and vegetables, some meats and fish. I’m doing things differently this time around so I don’t end up with *fingers crossed* a picky eater. I highly recommend this book. Thanks to my wonderful sister in law it is now my bible of sorts!:)
