Only the BEST!

Please don't mis read their shirts. It's NOT an announcement - they say "BEST Brother/Sister Ever", NOT "BIG Brother/Sister". I just wanted to throw that out there. :)

I saw these shirts at Target and though my kids have a closet full of cute shirts, I just could not resist. Back when Ry was born, I could not find a big sister shirt for Allie in her size, anywhere! Because she was so young (15 months old), every thing said little sister.  And this was before I was wise to crafting, Etsy or the invention of Pinterest, or anything of the like. So now that I found these shirts that say the same thing, but look different...well, I just had to have them!

I have been told countless times that my kiddos look like twins, and they almost could be! Buuuuut, I'm glad they weren't. They fight, play, laugh, and tease each other like kids very close in age. Boy, do they keep mommy and daddy on their toes.  Sometimes I swear that their joy in life is irritating the other, but when they play together...well, lets just say it makes up for the naps they never take because it gives us a break!

I am loving the age they are at now.  I feel like we are finally at a place that we can go somewhere and not have to pack a diaper bag, no bottles, no potties, no change of clothes, no STROLLERS! Ah! Its like freedom! When we sit at the kitchen table for dinner, we have these long conversations about their day. They both have so much to say all the time, but its not just gibberish and broken sentences anymore, its real conversations. They tell us what they ate, what they played with, where they went, what their favorite part of the day was.... I love talking to them.

We have been working with both on many things to get ready for Kindergarten. Allie starts in August, and Ry will follow the following August.  I can't believe it! ah! I actually just called today to find out when registration is (March) and I am currently getting all her 'ducks' in order to get all that going.  Allie can almost write her name, she just has trouble with the 'S' and the 'N'... and she's LEFT handed! Most of you know that I am a Kindergarten teacher and a right-y (so is Jason). I have such trouble teaching my left-ys in my class to write nicely, so its weird for me to come to terms with that.  I don't know what it is, but I did not want her to be left handed at first, but now I think its cool, its a novelty.  Anyone know any famous left handed people? I was reading about some here. How extraordinary! It says that left handed people excel beyond imagination in every field! hmmm, may there is something to this left handedness stuff?

Ry can spell and recognize his name...he can also type it! But he does not have the dexterity yet to write it, or even begin to form letters.  He's not even 3 1/2 yet, so no worries in that area. oh, and he is a right-y, in case you were wondering, but nonetheless extraordinary like his big sissy! :) I love these 2 kiddos so very much!

Derek Fisher (LAL), Lamar Odom (DAL), and Brandon Jennings (MIL) are all left handed. Nice post by the way.
